Deze auto is door mij in 2013 gekocht van goede vriend en bekend Porsche restaurateur Tim Goodrich. Intentie is altijd geweest deze auto te restaureren. Realiteit is echter dat ik verschillende andere 356/911 projecten heb lopen en niet zie hoe ik aan deze auto toe ga komen.
Onderstaand de omschrijving zoals gedeeld met mij toen ik de auto kocht:
"First off I apologize for the poor photos the car is on my car trailer and
under a cover and it is raining so the light is not so good and neither are
the angles that being said I will give you some kind of a run down.
The nose has been tapped not hard but has had the front of the hood worked
on. There is a photo of the inside of the hood that shows a the lip that is
not straight from when they tried to get behind it and push out the outer
skin and then did not straighten it.
The battery area has had some work rust repair including the left front
support for the torsion bar. I do have a new lower piece to repair this but
if it was me I would just cut it up and replace the left side the right for
what I can see is in good condition. What it looks like is the area under
the battery had problems and it got into the suspension mount area.
I have looked the best I can without the car being on a hoist and I cannot
find any other rust other than just surface rust in a few areas.
I had not noticed but the case has been replaced and is not numbered. The
car has not been driven since before 1991 he said it ran great when the
rubber on the accelerator linkage under the car broke and his wife started
to drive another car and he just let it sit for all these years in a garage.
The engine turns over but hand and there are no leaks that are showing. One
of the carbs has been replaced with a later split shaft type but I have the
one that was on the car so that can be put back.
The interior of the car is complete but as you can see would need to be
replaced.
The lower side deco is from a later car.
There is a photo showing a dent just forward of the right rear tail light."
Ik gok dat met enkele dagen werk de auto rijdend is te krijgen. Echter in mijn ogen is dit een restauratieproject. Auto is een zeer goede basis maar heeft zoals je kan verwachten met een auto van deze leeftijd werk nodig. In tegenstelling de meeste andere "project cars" is deze auto echter een super solide basis waardoor kosten voor plaatwerk beperkt zullen zijn. Mocht nieuwe eigenaar dit werk niet zelf kunnen doen dan kan ik Roy van Lier of Wessel van harte aanraden.
Auto is te bezichtigen in Omgeving Vinkeveen. Fuchs velgen op foto worden niet meeverkocht. Reguliere chromen velgen zijn aanwezig. Fuchs verlegen zijn eventueel wel te koop. Alle invoerrechten etc. zijn voldaan. Internet afstruinende lijkt prijs ~30K OBO in lijn. Voor vragen schroom niet om contact met mij op te nemen.
